The Associate Director, Access Strategy and Reimbursement who will
serve as the national expert to address systemic and account-level
access barriers and to facilitate preventing & solving the most
complex patient access issues to ensure smooth fulfillment,
on-boarding and adherence. This is a critical role for ensuring a
seamless patient experience and will balance the needs for
strategy, tactical operations and customer engagement. As part of

influencing across customer-engagement roles. Key
Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities: National Access
Strategy and Reimbursement: Provides expertise on coverage and
reimbursement to ensure seamless access via effective strategies
and efficient processes, working directly with key stakeholders
across the patient access journey. Lead the development,
maintenance and delivery of training for resources and tools that
empower account and patient support teams to navigate evolving
access & reimbursement dynamics (i.e. reimbursement processes,
claims submissions, procedures and coding requirements of payer
organizations including commercial, local, government, etc.)
Analyze trends and barriers and develop strategies to anticipate
and prevent patient access issues; translate strategies into
actionable plans. Responsible for the account access and
reimbursement dashboard to support the reporting and analysis of
key measures. Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement and
policy activities and the implications for patient access.
Communicate policy updates and payer trends related to approved
products to key stakeholders. Partner effectively with members of
the account team, serving as the reimbursement expert to provide
support to healthcare providers for escalated patient-level access
issues. Maintain a deep understanding of Hunter syndrome and MPS
therapy area, customer needs and market access dynamics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships
with field-based and home-office teams to ensure a unified approach
to supporting patients/caregivers and healthcare providers. Promote
a culture of continuous improvement through regular feedback and
process enhancements based on patient/caregiver, healthcare
provider and payer insights. Lead cross-functional teams and
partner with key stakeholders on strategic patient access, coverage
and reimbursement initiatives and projects. Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree, life sciences preferred Minimum of 8 years of
experience in pharma/healthcare, with at least 2 years of patient
access strategy experience and 2 years of field reimbursement
experience Preferred experience in rare disease, pediatrics and
complex therapies, with a demonstrated passion for
patient-centricity and customer-experience Ability to effectively
engage with customers and be a creative problem solver with the
ability to work flexibility to find solutions Proven expertise and
experience with market access across payer types, healthcare policy
and navigating the access, coverage and reimbursement environment
Demonstrated success working in a complex matrix working
independently and cooperatively within teams to accomplish goals
Strong strategic, analytical, collaborative skills This role is
remote with a preference for east coast location Ability to travel
as required Salary Range: $175,000.00 to $221,667.00 . Compensation
for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a
candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
