The successful candidate will provide a supervised level of Advanced Markets support to internal and external Sales, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Product Management groups while expanding their personal capabilities in this field.

The Advanced Markets department acts as a resource to multiple internal and external clients, providing specialized knowledge in fields such as taxation, financial planning, and annuity structuring, with a focus on applying that knowledge to the specific cases and circumstances of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide Advanced Markets expertise to internal customers including national Sales force, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Product Management.
Act in a consultative role to provide tax, financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, annuity structuring and sales strategy assistance to the Company's distribution network.
Assist in the development of marketing and other materials communicating advanced tax, estate and retirement planning concepts and strategies.
Collaborate on on-going initiatives to assess the impacts of, and plan for implementation of Company-wide responses to, legislative, regulatory, and/or statutory changes.
Prepare for a more extensive role in Advanced Markets.

Requirements:

Expertise in financial, retirement and estate planning concepts
Strong presentation skills
3 or more years in a financial services or related role, including involvement with advanced uses of annuities.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information in written and verbal form, in person and on the phone.
NASD Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 licenses; life insurance license.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, tax, financial services or related studies
Willingness and ability to continually expand relevant personal expertise.
Strong analytical skills required.
Self-starter/independent learner.
Must be comfortable with ambiguity.
Sales experience in the financial services industry preferred
CFP, CPA, JD or other relevant advanced designation preferred.
Travel may be required occasionally.
