Job Description:
LEER West is a manufacturing division of LEER GROUP, LLC. The
Company is North America's largest manufacturer and supplier of
fiberglass and aluminum truck caps and Tonneaus for residential and
commercial applications.Job DescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY:Responsible
for managing day to day Production Activities with respect to
Safety, Production Throughput, Product Quality, On Time Delivery,
Workplace Organization, Leadership Development, Employee Relations,
Production Cost, Inventory Control and Continuous
Improvement/Lean.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:---Maintains a safe, clean
working facility and comply with federal, state, and corporate
safety and environmental regulations.---Coordinates with other
departments to ensure production resources (labor, materials,
equipment) match production demand. Share Best
Practices.---Communicates operational status on a continual basis
to the Production Manager.---Refines and enhances processes by
applying continuous improvement and key Lean manufacturing /
production principles and techniques to areas of
production.---Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and
planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Coordinates input that may cross multiple teams or areas; makes
recommendations, and implements changes.---Ensures the completion
of production requirements in a timely manner through: direct
involvement in the development of production schedules consistent
with labor availability and providing direction and coordination
for Line Lead(s).---Develops a culture of right the first time, by
installing High Performance Behaviors in the team---builds,
develops and empowers high performing teams.---Recruits, hires,
trains, and disciplines employees according to corporate guidelines
and policies.---Fulfills all record keeping requirements including
written performance reviews, safety training, documentation,
documenting disciplinary actions, and job related training.---Knows
and complies with all safety and quality policies and
procedures.---Identifies and facilitates the correction of all
safety hazards and quality deficiencies.---Requires problem
analysis skills, an ability to seek out pertinent data, problem
solve, and the ability to determine the most important issues or
problems upon which to concentrate resources.---Ability to
effectively manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, planning
and scheduling work and activities to routinely meet demand and
schedule parameters and manage time efficiently.---Excellent
training and presentation skills with solid communication
capabilities and practices, both oral and written.---Other duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:---This job will directly supervision the Assembly
DepartmentEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:---High School Diploma and a
minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant manufacturing
supervisory positions---Experience in sheet metal fabrication and
assembly required.---Experience in managing multiple processes
within a single manufacturing plant is a requirement.---Proficient
with computer systems and software packages such as Microsoft Word,
Excel, Power-point, and email.---Strong written and verbal skills
and the ability to complete detailed reports and make
presentations.---Bilingual in English/Spanish a requiredAmazing
