Description: IMPORTANT NOTE for POTENTIAL US CANDIDATES: Our client expects its colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Job description: This position directly supports the daily requirements of the greenhouse (GH) operations and GH management team. This includes growing a variety of agricultural plants, watering, monitoring plant health and growing environment, delivery of plants using work truck, helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace, and the general support of plant-based research. The incumbent will: Enjoy working with and learning about plants and greenhouse functions. Perform work that is routine, repetitive, and detail oriented at 50% of the time Provide strong customer service to the internal Biologics teams Demonstrate Excellent organizational, observational, and communication skills Utilize time-management skills Follow-up on work assignments Reliably attend work in order to complete daily deliverables Be an active member of the greenhouse team Collaborate with members of other scientific disciplines Be flexible and adapt to changing situations. Support many diverse greenhouse/field experiments. Quickly learn new techniques and carry them out independently. Follow all safety and compliance policies. Required qualifications: Must have valid drivers license to drive company truck Available to work 40 hours on Monday-Friday and some holidays Minimum 2 years work experience High School Diploma - Minimum educational requirement Able to work in a greenhouse, outdoor field, or lab setting; sometimes under conditions of high heat and humidity for extended periods of time Sit and/or stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 lbs Familiar with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with plants or coursework in the plant sciences.
