Inventory & Seed Processing Mgr
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Inventory and Seed
Processing Manager, are to:
* Lead the inventory and seed processing team that execute
day-to-day seed processing and inventory management including seed
extraction, seed treatment, seed packaging, inventory management
and seed shipment;
* Collaboratively work with stakeholders/partners to understand
their needs and deliver on strategic goals and pipeline
activities;
* Optimize workflows and facilitate technology adoption by
assessing and communicating resource needs for nursery operations
activities;
* Provide resourcing information to support to operational and
capital budget planning;
* Measure, track and trend Key Performance Indicators to drive
decision that remove bottlenecks and increase efficiencies;
* Effectively communicate opportunities and improvements to
stakeholders and management;
* Coordinate with team members across the Americas Testing and
Operations team to ensure consistent implementation and
documentation of new procedures and processes;
* Be responsible for implementation of unique and innovative
technology solutions designed to improve research methods and
operational success;
* Drive adoption within the team of new tools and methodologies to
improve overall plant breeding phenotyping, seed processing and
inventory management (geospatial systems, digital inventory
management tools, imaging technology and data capture
applications);
* Be responsible for all required and necessary employee training
and comprehension for safety, regulatory and corporate policies for
their team to ensure Freedom to Operate;
* Create a culture of safety, quality and compliance;
* Create a culture of trust with team to ask questions, bring forth
new ideas and take ownership of processes and procedures;
* Attract, develop and retain talent to foster constant innovation
and maximize diversity within the team;
* Acquire and maintain equipment to support effective and efficient
processes and procedures within the team.

values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an
incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Plant Science or related field with at least
seven years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Plant
Science or related field with at least five years of relevant
experience or Ph.D. in Plant Science or related field with at least
three years of experience;
* At least two years of demonstrated people leadership
capabilities;
* Background in agronomy, plant breeding, experimental design,
statistical analysis and data visualization;
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
to work as part of a team and across functions in a dynamic, highly
collaborative work environment;
* Be able to lead and influence key stakeholders/partners through
challenges/opportunities, facilitate solutions;
* Highly developed problem-solving skills and effective execution
of operational strategies;
* Results orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously;
* Experience with Quality Management Systems and Process
Improvement tools to document/improve operations and workflows.
