Manager of Fleet

The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing policy and
procedures outlined in the Incidental Fleet Safety Program though
day-to-day operations, maintenance, and compliance of company
vehicles and equipment. Manages a budget for vehicle purchase,
operations, and repairs. Manage a fleet size of approximately
ranging from 40 to 50 Truck &Trailers and other vehicles and a
fleet of 60 Standard and towable Forklifts and various
-- Provides recommendations to management on budgeting, schedules,
maintenance, and fleet progress.
-- Aligns Fleet annual budget with operational goals.
-- Oversees the sale/purchase and/or auction of vehicles.
-- Monitors daily and monthly vehicle inspection logs.
-- Manages Fleet vendor relationships, vehicle service schedules
-- Manages maintenance schedules for vehicles by facility.
-- Manages vehicle licensure, registration, and insurance.
-- Monitors fuel purchases by administering fuel cards for all
vehicles to their respective drivers.
-- Partners with Safety to take preventative measures to ensure
safety of vehicles and drivers.
-- Analyzes Fleet performance and presents cost and efficiency
-- Ensures that Drivers receive proper training and uphold safe
-- Ensures all fleet drivers have proper licensure and up-to-date
-- Manages the use of GPS systems to know the location of vehicles
which increases the possibility of vehicles being tracked or found
in case they are stolen.
-- Completes all other duties as assigned.

-- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in transportation
management or experience in a similar field
-- At least 2 years of driving experience in a delivery role
-- At least 5 years' experience with the acquisition of
-- At least 5 years' experience working with semi-trucks with
flatbed, heavy loads, pick-up trucks, and forklifts
-- At least 5 years' experience with coordinating schedules with
vendors and facilities
