Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of duties
related to Central Sterile Processing Dept inventory control and
the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) to include but
not limited to: Maintaining online MMIS files, and inventory
records, adding new records, creating forms and requisitions on the
MMIS used for supply inventory and ordering, reviewing and
analyzing inventory quantities, making recommendations for
increases / decreases, assisting staff in interpretation of MMIS
reports to asses and correct inventory levels, assessing competency
of staff using computer systems, assists in writing policies and
procedures, producing reference materials for use of computers MMIS
software modules.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW
* The ideal candidate may work Saturdays to support the Saturday
clinics*
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* 2 years CSPD or experience with automated inventory management
systems in healthcare setting.
* High School Diploma
* Ca Driver License
* Ability to analyze data, research and problem solve effectively.
Ability to accurately enter and process data in various computer
systems as well as recognize and correct comprehensive reports and
correspondence.
* Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control concepts, practices
and systems, automated and manual. Patient billing practices and
systems. Accurate data processing including infection control, body
mechanics and hazardous materials, medical terminology,
alphabetical and numerical filing and coding systems.
