Job Description:

DescriptionThe Procurement Operations Specialist will manage data and the requisition through pay process in Peoplesoft (ERP/Finance/Purchasing current system of record) and ensure validity and accuracy of all information entered. They will directly support and interact with Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Finance and Accounts Payable. The Procurement Operations Specialist will support special projects including but not limited to compliance and internal purchasing and audit activities.Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.Create, process, and maintain Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.Manage and close complex Purchase Orders.Liaise with Accounting department and assist them in resolving discrepancies in the Purchase Orders/Requisitions.Manage supplier setup process.Respond to help desk tickets, resolve within Service Level Agreement (SLA).Provide monthly data reports to management.Follow up on delivery of products to requesters.Monitor and resolve issues in a timely manner with a customer-oriented approach.Manage confirmation and accuracy of Purchase Order's directly with suppliers.Support Internal audits.Ensure that all users, approvals, and filters are set up in accordance with procurement policies.Develop and implement on-going training and communication programs with internal customer groups.Examine records of amounts due and ensure invoices are paid according to terms and discounts taken.Coordinate processes with the accounts payable function to facilitate enforcement of established policies.Monitor and regularly report on usage of R2P tools, develop and implement plans for improving tool usage/value.Manage and update supplier eCatalogs.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationPreferredBachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.ExperiencePreferredMinimum 2 years' in an analytical role (e.g. sourcing, procurement operations/consulting, or corporate process improvement/auditing).
