This is an entry-level position responsible for strict
compliance with Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies,
Procedure, and Work Instructions. This position performs daily
process checks to ensure the integrity of each batch of
JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Ensure that we keep our promises to our customers by maintaining
the intended quality of our products.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while
mainlining focus on quality and food safety.
Perform process checks throughout the raw ingredients,
intermediates, finished food production, packaging, sanitation,
warehouse, and shipping areas of the company (e.g. pre-operational
checks, sanitation verification, raw ingredient testing,
microbiological testing, finished product testing, water activity
testing, allergen swabs, packaging checks, and post-operational
Verify components used on each production line are labeled
properly. Ensure that unit codes, case codes, packaging, weights
and ingredients are all correct on all sides of packaging.
Perform production line in-process inspections in accordance
with current specifications. Record inspection result on Finished
Product Inspection in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and organized records of QA
Swab and test food contact equipment for potential allergens
(i.e. gluten) or cross contamination.
Monitor and verify calibration of equipment used to test or
inspect materials; report any equipment issues to supervisor in a
Perform audits throughout shift to ensure high quality and food
safety requirements are consistently met.
File documentation and production batch records
Enter retain samples information into the retain samples log and
maintain retain samples (each work order must have its own retain

document & verify lot numbers used in Batch Tickets, and monitor

Work with Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate

Perform QC receiving of ingredients and packaging; ensure that
Certificates of Analysis meet Specifications.
Verify all HACCP logs are complete and report any discrepancies
to ensure compliance with the HACCP Plan.
Attend and participate in initial and ongoing food safety
Ask clarifying questions to ensure high quality and food safety
requirements are consistently met.
Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS),
HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Integrated
Pest Management (IPM), and all other Food Safety and Quality
Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times. Set an
example for others and correct problem behaviors as you see
