Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leading global retailer, is seeking a Senior
Software Engineer, iOS, to join our dynamic IT team in Bentonville,
Arkansas. This role focuses on developing and enhancing the mobile
eCommerce experience for millions of our customers daily. As part
of our IT & Cybersecurity team, you will work on high-impact
projects that feature the latest technologies in mobile
development. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in
iOS development, showcasing a portfolio of released applications on
the App Store as well as a deep understanding of the Swift
programming language, Apple's design principles and application
interface guidelines. Design and build advanced applications for
the iOS platform while ensuring robust code quality Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new
features Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases,
usability, and general reliability Continuously discover, evaluate,
and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Maintain and improve application performance Provide assistance and
mentorship to junior developers Proficiency in Swift and
Objective-C Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core
Animation, etc. Understanding of Apple's design principles and
interface guidelines Experience with offline storage, threading,
and performance tuning Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS
applications to back-end services Knowledge of other web
technologies and UI/UX standards Familiarity with cloud message
APIs and push notifications Proficient understanding of code
