Human Resources Manager provides highly professional associate
relations services, including consultative advice and counsel,
specialized problem-solving skills, planning skills, excellent
communication, associate development, and interpersonal skills.
This individual is responsible for planning, design and
administration of policies, procedures, and programs in the areas
of employment, benefits, training, health and safety, salary
administration and performance improvement.
This position may also involve HR managers of specific functions of
HR (EEO/AAP, Training, Benefits, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers human resources policies to meet organizational needs
and comply with state and federal laws.
Review human resources budget for assigned Areas with each location
leader on a regular basis.
Implements communications systems to ensure all locations have
access to information in a timely manner.
Provides guidelines and oversees management of human resources
activities such as recruitment, performance review, recruiting,
talent development, retention, succession planning, benefits, and
employee relations, and resolves problems requiring senior
management intervention.
Ensures group compliance with affirmative action activities and
demonstrates measurable progress toward accomplishment of
affirmative action goals.
Participates as part of management in negotiating collective
bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with human resources staff to
exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem
resolution.
Analyzes trends at each facility in turnover, hiring, promotions,
separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed
to adjust unfavorable trends.
Schedules training at each location in interviewing, hiring,
terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual
harassment, and diversity awareness.
Provide competent consultative advice and counsel to management on
matters related to human resource utilization, problem solving,
discipline, employment law, strategic planning and other areas as
needed or requested.
Ensure all Company policies, procedures and appropriate
governmental regulations are communicated and adhered to, with
irregularities appropriately handled.
Develop, in cooperation with corporate staff and management, a
continuing program of supervisory training to prepare new and
current supervisors with knowledge and skills of leadership and
effective management techniques.
Conduct in-house compliance audits in the areas of wage/hour,
workers' compensation, employment practices, state/federal health,
and safety, with emphasis on ensuring all practices conforms to
local state and federal laws and regulations when required.
Other duties may be assigned.

This job may have direct reports, and carries the authority to
hire, terminate and/or make compensation adjustments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years related HR/Mgmt experience.

software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing
software.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible
to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and
documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and
the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success,
thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company's
active bonus policy for the respective year.
