Description Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital,
Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced
Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving
patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco.
Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with
critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended
recovery periods. Kentfield Hospital offers a comprehensive range
of services, including cardiac care, neuro recovery, respiratory
support, advanced wound care and physical/occupational therapy.

possible outcomes. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for clinical
functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care
incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the applicable
Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN shall ensure that the unit to
which assigned shall function in a smooth, organized, and efficient
manner as directed by the Registered Nurse. The provision of care
includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of
all nursing care. Specific components of the licensed
practical/vocational nurse role include demonstrating clinical
competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care,
establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional
skills, fulfilling responsibilities f the role of the hospital, and
developing clinical expertise per specialty. This is a full-time
opportunity available in our Marin facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an

Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing

standards of practice in job situations. POSITION SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the following positions : Certified
Nursing Assistants, Nurse Aides and Techs as assigned.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current, valid, and active
license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the
state of employment required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications
from the American Heart Association. IV Certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: One (1) year of clinical
experience in a health care setting preferred. Three (3) years
medical/surgical experience preferred. One (1) year of area
specific experience preferred. Ability to project a professional
image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance
requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical
skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances
warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications
used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of
use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE,
REGISTRATIONS: Current, valid, and active license to practice as a
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment
required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American
Heart Association. IV Certification Required. ATTENDANCE: Regular
and punctual attendance. LANGUAGE SKILLS English is the primary
language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate
clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate
questions regarding work process or work. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Demonstrates active listening techniques; gains support through
effective relationships; treats others with dignity and respect;
seeks feedback; participates in processes to measure effectiveness,
efficiency, and service; and maintains reporting mechanisms.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attends in-service and education programs;
attends and completes continuing education required for maintenance
of applicable license and/or certification. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND
WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here represent
