Staffing Registered Nurse - Case Management Location: Carmichael,
CA Start Date: 02-18-2026 End Date: 05-20-2026 Shift Type:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift); every-other-weekend
rotation required (at least one full weekend per month); holidays
optional/willing to work; may float to other units as needed Hours

do best helping people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Conduct
thorough initial patient assessments and complete documentation in
Cerner Perform utilization review using Interqual criteria and
support appropriate level-of-care decisions Develop and implement
discharge plans that connect patients with post-acute resources
Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, including
hospitalists, RT, and pharmacy Advocate for patients with payers
and assist uninsured or homeless patients in finding community
resources Manage daily caseloads (approximately 15–20 consults)
while reprioritizing as needs change Communicate effectively with
patients, families, and clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions
of care Serve as a collaborative team member and, when needed,
float to other areas of the hospital Qualifications Active RN
(Registered Nurse) license (able to submit) — required BSN
(Bachelor of Science in Nursing) — required Minimum 2 years of
nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification —
required Prior California Dignity/CommonSpirit (Dignity Health)
experience — mandatory Experience with case management, utilization
review, discharge planning, or care coordination Familiarity with
Cerner charting; Interqual familiarity preferred (training
available) Comfort working with diverse payer systems and
vulnerable populations (uninsured/homeless) Willingness to work
every-other-weekend rotation and float when needed Education BSN
(Bachelor of Science in Nursing) — required BLS certification —
required Active RN licensure (required) Knowledge & Skills Strong
knowledge of case management and utilization review processes
Proficient charting skills in Cerner and familiarity with Interqual
criteria Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and communication
skills Ability to triage and reprioritize tasks in a busy
acute-care environment Experience navigating payer authorizations
and discharge resource coordination Culturally sensitive care for
patients who are uninsured or experiencing homelessness Efficient
