Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/21/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement • Rotate holidays with core staff • 8-bed ICU unit with 1:1-2 patient ratios • 2 years of ICU experience required • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA) • Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips • Experience with ventilators required • Cerner EMR system • Navy scrubs required - under shirts must be navy, white, or black • Scrub jackets optional but must be navy • First to float to sister facilities and MedSurg unit as needed • Charge nurse duties available - generally no patient assignment but will do break relief • 1-2 day floor orientation with preceptor • Self-scheduling system with manager balancing • Overtime and extra shifts available • Report given at bedside • Care for primarily medical ICU patients • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment • BSN not required Facility: This healthcare facility features an 8-bed ICU with a horseshoe layout design, providing an excellent environment for ICU nursing practice.
