Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid State License required Certifications: ARRT, TBLS Must-Have: - Competent in performing routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with treatment plans developed by physicians. - Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures. - Skill in delivering accurate results in a timely manner. - Competent in patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication to gain confidence and cooperation from patients and their families. - Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. - Experience in performing specific procedures and orienting other staff to the department. Description: The role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments as per physician-developed treatment plans. The therapist will work independently while exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe procedures. The aim is to deliver accurate results promptly. Competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication are essential for gaining patient and family cooperation. Adherence to regulations and policies is necessary to ensure privacy and safety in patient care. The radiation therapist may also perform specific procedures and orient other staff within the department. Candidates should possess specific charting experience, with preference for those familiar with Epic. Please ensure to disclose any background hits or DUIs prior to submission. Current certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Return staff who have been gone for one year or longer will be considered for the position.
