Job Description:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to
perform disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the
VA's benefits process.
The role involves reviewing electronic medical records and
conducting focused in-person physical exams on Veterans.
Documentation of exam findings is done electronically; the position
does not involve making disability determinations, treating
patients, or prescribing medications.
Typically, 3-5 assessments are completed daily in a part-time,
in-person role, scheduled for 2 days per week (8am-4pm).
Key attributes include data analysis skills, time management,
current unrestricted NP or PA license, and proficiency with
computers.
Requirements include holding a current, unrestricted license and
meeting VA credentialing standards.
