CommuniCare Health Centers (CCHC) is part of a network of Federally
Qualified Health Centers that is raising the bar for comprehensive
and quality healthcare. The Behavioral Health Supervisor provides
direct client services, program development and oversight for all
aspects of the Mental Health and Substance Use needs for students
under Yolo County Office of Education, Woodland Joint Unified
School District and Woodland Community College. We strive to

About us:
We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and have been
providing care to Yolo County residents since 1972. Like other
community health centers, we provide care to anyone that walks
through our doors and are located in all major cities within Yolo
County (Davis, Woodland and West Sacramento) and provide services
throughout Yolo County. The community health center movement was
born out of the civil rights movement in the 1960s with the mission
to provide healthcare in communities where there are few or no
options for care. Our mission is rooted in the philosophy that
health care is a right, not a privilege. We serve and provide care
for those disproportionally impacted by social determinants of
health.
Salary:
The pay range for this position is $62,500-$90,000. Starting pay
within this range will vary depending on the job-related knowledge,
skills, and experience.

About the role of the Behavioral Health Supervisor
The Behavioral Health Supervisor is part of a multidisciplinary
team consisting of behavioral health clinicians, case managers,
Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency, Yolo County Office of
Education, Woodland Joint Unified School District, and Woodland
Community College. The Behavioral Health Supervisor is
non-judgmental, empathic, organized, flexible and can build
relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
Consistently utilizes a strength-based approach to supervision and
client care and consistently models the use of destigmatizing
language and low threshold access to services. Supervisor
understands and/or develops an understanding of the Social
Determinants of Health and works to utilize this understanding when
formulating decisions and clinical approaches to care. Supervisor
provides direct services to students and families. Supervises,
develops, and coaches Behavioral Health Clinicians, Case Manager
and Youth and Family Specialist.
Essential Functions:
Positively contribute to Behavioral Health Programs and Management
Team, support fellow managers in the functions of their jobs,
provide coverage when needed, attend weekly management meetings,
support/facilitate departmental meetings and training
opportunities, work collaboratively to problem solve departmental
issues and challenges, support with staff recognition and
engagement efforts.
Effectively collaborate and partner with the Yolo County Juvenile
Probation Team and Cesar Chavez High School to support the program
structure, counseling and case management services provided to
students under the Yolo County Career Preparatory Program.
Provide administrative and programmatic oversight for embedded and
non-embedded counseling services and programming at the
schools.
Hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate employees.
Be available to facilitate Child and Family Team (CFT) Meetings
when needed, as well as train the School Services Case Managers and
Youth and Family Specialist on facilitation of Child and Family
Team Meetings.
Assign and monitor staff work, evaluate progress, and make
corrections as needed, provide clinical oversight and guide
decision making.
Provide a variety of direct services in-person and via telehealth
including triage, assessment, crisis response, and clinical support
for students and their families experiencing a range of mental
health symptoms and/or substance use disorders. Make
recommendations on appropriate levels of care.
Collaborate with physical and mental health providers, including
Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency, WJUSD, YCOE, and
Woodland Community College.
Manage supervisory and clinical duties during a fast-paced
workday.
Effectively utilizes measurement-based care practices to determine
client progress, wellness, and risk factors; collect required
departmental screenings as directed by contract and/or agency.
Complete clinical documentation of all client interactions and
services within 48 hours of services in accordance with working
hours, all documentation must comply with Medi-Cal and Beacon
Health guidelines. Participate in peer chart reviews and other
quality improvement efforts.
Comply with established department policies and procedures,
objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and
patient service standards.
Provides consultative support to partners and fellow team members
in collaboration with manager.
Participate in team-based approach to care including staff
meetings, case review, consultation/supervision sessions and other
forums as required.
Create a supportive discharge or program completion process, in
collaboration with other members of the team.
Responsible for remaining within established ethical standards,
including those of confidentiality and mandated reporting.
Responsible for data collection oversight and meeting outcomes
reporting deadlines of contract in collaboration with the Quality
Assurance Supervisor.
As safe and appropriate to do so, transport clients or support with
transportation arrangements.
Maintain current California Board of Behavioral Sciences license or
registration in good standing and will submit all training and CEU
certificates to Human Resources.
Attend trainings/conferences as arranged.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Required:
Licensed with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as LMFT
/LCSW/LPCC preferred.
Experience working with youth and families preferred. Experience
providing mental health services in schools strongly preferred.
Bilingual preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly
preferred.

Special Skills/Equipment: Computer skills to include Microsoft
Office and with training proficiently utilize electronic health
record. Must provide current drivers license and auto insurance,
ability to travel in Yolo County (West Sacramento, Davis,
Woodland). Able to successfully engage and provide services to
patients by way of HIPAA-compliant telehealth/video-based services
and fully participate in video-based meetings and trainings. Must
have ability to use telephonic translation services when client
language preference dictates.
