Responsibilities
Position Summary: -The Registered Nurse is defined as a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach the Registered Nurse provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing team leadership and maintaining professional development. -
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Current California RN license requiredTwo (2) years of experience as an RN in a Mental Health unit requiredAppropriate nursing/practice experience requiredIncumbents are expected to maintain current competencies and certifications as required by the departmentCurrent BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)Ability to read, speak and write English in order to perform the duties of the positionDemonstrated current competencies and certifications required by each specific departmentAbility to work as a team member to meet team goals and objectivesAbility to work effectively under multiple demands and adjust priorities as circumstance requires to meet nursing/staffing needs of the departmentAbility to maintain a high degree of accuracy and precision on a consistent basis in the performance of nursing proceduresAbility to treat co-workers, physicians, patients, families, visitors, and the public with dignity and respectAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all hospital staffAbility to maintain patient confidentialityAbility to work a flexible schedule and be willing to work additional hours if needed for the provision of quality patient care
