Job Description:

Job Duties:
Monitors and maintains the hazardous materials program, assuring all hazardous materials are received, handled, shipped, stored, labeled and disposed of in accordance with company, customer and government regulations
Administers safety policies, procedures and employee safety training
Reports accidents to management and logs all accident investigations
Gathers and reports all EHS related information and metrics to management
Maintains files and records including material safety data sheets and other paperwork ensuring compliance
Maintain all records required for CUPA, state and federal regulations compliance

Minimally Required Skills (including types of tools, equipment and materials used in the job)
Familiarity with and understanding of safety laws and regulations within the state and local jurisdictions, including Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA)
Ability to support Environmental Health & Safety processes and practices, regulatory compliance, and overall risk reduction.
Knowledge of and understanding of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Materials Handling and disposal practices
Understanding of state and federal LQG hazardous waste generator requirements
Ability to demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and presentation to groups
Ability to work a diverse work group and collaborate with others
Ability to demonstrate organization and prioritization skills, including time and project management
Ability to effectively disseminate & coordinate information across various organizational levels
Ability to perform in cross-functional rotational assignments within the department
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Minimum job requirements:
- - - - - - - - -Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred job requirements
30-hours Occupational Health and Safety Certification
California Compliance School Hazardous Waste Generator Training
QSP Certification
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards

Working Conditions
Able to work in an industrial setting with environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and noise.
The ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities and lift to 50 lbs. on occasion
The ability to stand for long periods of time (i.e. 2-3 hours at a time on concrete surfaces)
The ability to regularly walk/transit throughout the facility
