Job Description:VCA Animal Hospital is searching for our next
Area Manager to support veterinary hospitals in Los Angeles area!
The Area Manager is an integral part of the operational leadership
team that includes a Regional Vice President (RVP), and a Regional
Medical Director (RMD). This management team has full
responsibility for all operations, medical standards, personnel
hiring, and management within the region. The Area Manager reports
directly to the RVP.The Area Manager will perform a wide range of
difficult to complex activities related to hospitals providing
quality patient care and excellent client service, management of
finances and accounting, marketing, and promotion of services,
staffing, and human resources, and discretionary activities, that
serve to support effective business
operations.Responsibilities:Accountability & responsibility for the
hospital profit & loss statementsOversight of general practice
hospitals including doctors, technicians, and other
paraprofessional staffSupport the development and renovation of
veterinary hospitals to drive the expansion of servicesSupport
various initiatives and best practicesIn conjunction with Talent
Acquisition, support the recruitment of medical professionals to
increase patient care and client serviceLeadership Skills:Strong
leadership skills to develop a solid teamManagerial presence to
influence and gain alignment on decisionsMust possess a high level
of integrity with an understanding of the need for
confidentialityExcellent analytical and organization skills, with
strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to
develop and implement creative solutions to operational challenges
based on the fluctuating needs of the region and
organizationAbility to balance short-term needs and priorities
while building for the futureMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's
degree or experienced and licensed technician preferredVeterinary
site management experience preferredAbility to analyze and utilize
reports and data to affect positive change in a hospital
environmentWell-developed interpersonal and communication
skillsProven experience building high performing teamsAbility to
multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of
changing prioritiesExperienced record of generating revenue growth
