an immediate need for an onsite Principal Software Systems Quality
Engineer (Quality Assurance/Compliance) to support Land & Air
Defense Systems (LADS). Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the
Software Quality Engineering department (SWQE) performs classified
activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated
workspaces. Key Programs: LADS includes Global Patriot, Ghost-Eye /
Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, National Advanced Surface-to-Air
Missile, Multi-Function Radio Frequency Sensor, Enduring Indirect
Fire Protection Capability, Stinger, Next Generation Short-Range
Interceptor, TOW, Javelin, Excalibur, and Counter Unmanned Aerial
systems. Key Locations: Software Quality collaborates with
Engineering (Software, Systems, Integration/Test, Safety) and other
Quality functions (Program Quality Leads, Hardware Quality).
Primary activities occur daily at the main Tewksbury MA site (50
Apple Hill Drive). Test Witnessing occurs quarterly at Andover MA
site (362 Lowell St.) and annually at nearby Pelham NH site (50
Bush Hill Rd.). This is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA What You
Will Do : Compliance – Ensure digital products adhere to
contractual requirements. Review and approve inputs/outputs to/from
partner organizations. Improvement – Perform independent
evaluations and risk assessments across lifecycle. Facilitate root
cause analysis and corrective actions. Products – Ensure integrity
of the technical data package. Identify, collect, and measure
software quality attributes, metrics, and data. Teamwork – Interact
with customers, product development, and test personnel. Provide
guidance to senior management, team members, and group peers.
Processes – Leverage modern experiences with software development
and quality best practices. Increasingly adopt Agile and DevSecOps
methodologies. SWQE Tasks – Review of Document Deliverables (CDRL),
Command Media (Policies), SW Release Packages (Windchill PDM, Azure
DevOps), SW Requirements Changes, SW/System Defects, SW Pulls (Code
Reviews), Media, and Test Artifacts. Participation in Peer Reviews
(SW, SE), Control Boards (CCB, SRB), Tracking Books (Metrics), Test
Witnessing (SQT, FQT), and Audits Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years
of Quality or Engineering Experience. 8 years working experience in
a Quality or Technical role and applying advanced concepts across
at least EIGHT of the following. Compliance Evaluation experience:
validation, verification, auditing, action items. Requirements
Verification experience: software/systems specifications,
functionality, performance, release plans, statement of work,
contracts. Release Management experience: checklists, labels,
versions, licenses, repositories. Test Witnessing experience: test
plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports,
test sites. Software Processes experience: requirements
decomposition, code reviews, functions / features, building /
configuration management. Defect Management experience:
dispositioning, prioritization, resolution, implementation. Records
Management experience: software executables, release notes,
security bulletins, training manuals, user guides. Integration
experience: security, systems, software, hardware, connectivity,
tools, equipment. Maintenance Processes experience: patches,
upgrades, installation, backups, recovery, synchronization.
Technology experience: applications, servers, virtual machines,
networks, storage. Projects Experience: Proven experience with
overseeing, coordination, planning, prioritization, execution, and
escalation. Policies Experience: Experience with Quality Management
Systems (QMS) and Operating Procedures (SOPs). Analysis Experience:
Experience identifying Root Cause of process issues and
implementing Corrective Actions. Metrics Experience: Experience
defining, developing, monitoring, measuring, reporting, and
dashboards. Agile Experience: Familiarity with SCRUM teams, sprints
/ increments, stories / points, backlog / burndown) and continuous
integration/delivery (CI/CD). PowerPoint Experience: Creating and
presenting Senior Management briefings. Ability to obtain and
maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance. U.S.
citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a
security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer : Standards:
Experience with Quality concepts via AS9115, AS9100, ISO9001.
Strategy: Experience driving key initiatives with cross-functional
teams and collaborating with Business and Technical stakeholders.
Development: Experience Integrating Dev. Environment (IDE)
applications, modeling, or databases (ClearCase, DOORS, RQM, Cameo,
Rhapsody, Oracle, SAP). DevSecOps: Experience with Toolchains
(Jira, Confluence, ADS, Jenkins, GitHub, Coverity). Certification:
Active in Quality, SW or Systems Eng., Agile, Cyber / IA, Proj.

role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a
good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
