Project Engineer will have a leadership and planning role to help
direct the steps of water systems projects, pump repair, and well
drilling. The Project Engineer will produce technical plans,
drawings, and schematics, including estimating supplies and
resources needed and how much time to allot.You should have the
ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate
excellent project management and supervision skills. You should
also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership,
and decision-making skills.Job Description/ActivitiesInteract with
clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and
representing them to the field and shopsReceive job order from
Sales, add technical details (notes, drawings, etc.), make job
package(s) for the Field and Machine/Fab ShopsPlan jobs in master
schedule including resource loadingDirect and observe the tear
down/inspection, failure analysis, diagnosis, repair, and
reassembly of water well pumps and pumping systemsDefine the scope
of work for repairInstitute cost controls and cost tracking by
jobTravel to jobsites (60% in office 40% in the shop, yard, or
field)Project Engineer Skills And QualificationsFor our Project
Engineer to be successful in their role they should possess the
following skills and qualifications:Good interpersonal skills for
daily interaction with customers and fellow employees.Understand
how to work as a member of a crew, and to give and receive
feedbackAbility to work independently as well as in a team
environmentAbility to organize and prioritize workload to maximize
efficiencyFlexible to changing priorities to respond to urgent
Customer and Field Crew needsOrganization and problem-solving
skillsAbility to use specialized software for collaboration and
time management, including spreadsheetsExperience with inventory
control and process improvementStrong time management and
analytical skillsFirm understanding of complex mathematical
conceptsProven leadership skillsStrong communication skillsStrong
analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose
systemic problems.Project Engineer RequirementsA Bachelor's degree
in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field.A valid
Professional Engineering license is not required but is considered
an asset.3 or more years field and project planning
experience.Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and
visualization software.The ability to work with multiple discipline
projects.Excellent project management and supervision
