Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with several years of
successful teaching experience in a relevant field. Relevant
content-specific knowledge and pedagogy (i.e., have knowledge of an
array of teaching and learning strategies associated with the
subject matter content). Knowledge of and willingness to know
current Teaching Performance Expectations ( TPE ) and basics of the
Teaching Performance Assessment (edTPA). Relevant Professional
experiences in elementary, secondary, and/or special education
educational settings. Three (3) years of teaching experience in
elementary, secondary, and/or special education classrooms.
California Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and/or Education
Specialist, Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Moderate/Severe
Disabilities credential (as appropriate). Ability to work
effectively with candidates and district staff (cooperating
teachers; identified administrators) in their field settings.
Preferred Qualifications Prior higher education teaching
experience. Ability to teach/mentor/supervise adult learners.
Demonstrated commitment to and teaching in diverse settings, as
well as working with students from culturally and linguistically
diverse communities. Experience and sensitivity in working with
people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience
in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university
setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive
practices and knowledge in their work.
