Year Up is seeking participants for the Business Foundations JOB Training Opportunity, designed to bridge the opportunity divide. Our one-year program equips participants with critical business and professional skills through academic learning and hands-on internships. This program, tailored for young adults, focuses not only on business fundamentals but also incorporates personal mentorship and development to prepare you for successful careers. Participants will benefit from collaborations with top companies and gain the skills necessary to thrive in various business environments. Attend structured classes and training sessions to learn business fundamentals including, but not limited to, marketing, finance, and management. Participate in internships with Year Up's corporate partners to gain real-world experience. Engage with mentors and career development advisors to set personal goals and discuss career paths. Complete projects and assignments that demonstrate the application of learned business concepts. Partake in career development workshops that include resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Basic understanding of business principles Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt and learn quickly in various business settings Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Capacity for teamwork and collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Completion of Year Up's program will provide participants with a certificate of completion. Participants may also receive potential college credit recommendations depending on the academic partner institutions.
